While flying to Indiana and watching The Wizard of Oz, Chris DeLisa heard Dorothy's timeless words—“There's no place like home”—and began thinking about how deeply that message reaches across age, geography, faith and culture. No matter how long he was away from home on business, he always had a home to return to, but was hit with the realization that there are millions of people that can't say that.
The idea: Create one original song, then reinterpret it through the musical traditions and languages of the world—without losing the emotional center of coming home.
The result is a Multi-version musical journey: pop, country, hip hop, rock, gospel, classical, global languages and much more. Each arrangement has its own identity, but every version returns to the same truth: home is more than a place. It is belonging, memory, safety and hope.
The project was also built with a charitable purpose—using music not only to connect people, but to help families building homes and “Heroes” facing cancer.
